One of the most prominent employers on the planet, there are many (mainly) IT jobs available, such as software architect, information architect, mainframe software architect, and so on. Yet, the company does have positions within customer support, financial management, and sales accordingly.

Here are 5 key points you should know about applying to IBM.
First, you will need to apply via the company’s website; ibm.com. The company doesn’t seem to support paper submissions at this point.
Second, you will need to create an account once you find a position you’d like to apply for. A very easy step.
Third, you can apply for positions using your LinkedIn account, which is a huge advantage for those who have vibrant and fleshed out LinkedIn network. Very nice addition on IBM’s part!
Fourth, a cover letter is not required when applying for a job at IBM (at least not when applying via the company website … hooray, one less thing to worry about!).
Fifth, you will be required to provide additional, mandatory information as part of the application process; i.e. your visa status, your skills with the English language (no knowledge, basic, intermediate, or fluent, for example), and whether you’re currently locked into a non-compete with any employer.
